OK, so we know Jayda is smart, she loves trivia, loves MCU, loves speech and debate. She is quick and agile but not a sports star but did make freshman volleyball.
Family -- Jayda’s Dad is sick, like something bad, probably cancer or maybe a heart condition... we don’t know yet. Jayda’s Dad is one of her best friends but he’s in and out of hospital and has no stamina left. Jayda’s Mom is a cop --- works second shift. So Jayda has to balance babysitting her little brother (don’t know how old he is --- probably between 2nd and 5th grade??) with speech/debate and volleyball.
She needs one of the other characters to babysit on the cheap two or three days a week so she can make some practices. The baby brother is in daycare after school some days but that’s expensive and though Dad tries there’s only so much he can do. She’s not that great in art but really wants to do her best for Mrs. Longpine.
